Only a handfull of people know how hard I have hustled over the years. I was talking to my brother Kbo tonight about some realestate game. I don’t think even he knows half the stories I have lined up and his hustle game is much harder than mine so I thought maybe I would share a snippet since you know — I got nothing else to talk about.

Meet Volt. In 2008 I convinced my wife to let me spend $70 on a pair of roller-skates so I could get around the city faster. The idea was to drop some cold call type material into the mailboxes of the local small shops promoting my services in marketing and development. The first night this took place I received a couple clients that pulled in around $1200. The skates were my first real dive into entrepureship and I knew if I didn’t at least break even after buying them, I’d never be trusted by the lady again. This stupid small act caused me to work hard just to prove I could do it.

Since then, we have built a history of hustle and every crazy idea I’ve had — every scheme — every plan I devise that would have scared off a normal person — she has backed in full faith. I might not finish the task as intended or as solid as we thought, but my drug dealer type personality finds a way to finish the task non the less. It’s different coming out as going in, but between my crazy and her grounding we will complete everything, always.

So to the big news, in five years — the Bocooks are moving to Argentina. Yes we just purchased a house, and yes Tre will be 15, but we have set our mind to building a life all of you dream of living and just like every other hustle, this is going to happen.

I have ran a video game store, I have worked in government research, I have owned a photography studio, I’ve architected enterprise applications and am currently working towards revolutionizing higher end information systems. We are going to do this. The Volt skates sit in my office as a symbol of more than what I am. We take a little and run with it. These skates have been with me since day 1 of my hustle game and will be traversing to south America with me. Watch out.
